Admonterhaus Grabneralm   13 Km / 840 m        

The walk begins at the parking lot directly to Admonterhaus at the "Buchauersattel" on 885m. The little road pass "Buchauersattel" is between Admont and St. Gallen in the beautiful Styrian region Gesäuse. The first part of the walk leads at a forest road to the Grabneralm house and there are no hiking boots required. For the path from Grabneralm house to Admonterhaus sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended. The walking tour to Grabneralm is suitable for children over 8 years and the path to the Admonterhaus from about 12 years. Until Grabneralm you go about 1.5 hours, and 45 min. from the Grabneralm to Admonterhaus.

                     

Lake Altaussee         7,8 Km / 68 m                    

The trail around Altaussee is suitable for the whole family, including baby carriages. The road around the lake is for runners, walkers and families very popular. The Altaussee is surrounded by some very beautiful mountains and there is a boat rental, boat and beach restaurants line the Altaussee offers some secluded beaches to relax on.                    

Ardning - Ardningalm - Hall / Admont    22 Km / 790 m     

From Ardning on Ardningalm and Bacheralm to Hall at Admont. Scenic walk on a continuous forest path. No climbing and suitable for the whole family. Families with children can also take the car to the Ardningalm and take a walk from there.

                     

Bodensee lake Styria    6,5 Km / 430 m            

At the lake "Bodensee" in Upper Styria, you can either make a very nice walk around the lake or take a not very long but challenging hike to the valley higher to Hüttensee and Obersee. The Inn "Forellenhof" on Lake Bodensee and the Franz Wödl hut on Hüttensee are the two best opportunities for a stop on this walk in the Schladming Tauern. The Franz Wödl hut in the Schladming Tauern is situated at the end of the Seewigtal. The trail leads from Bodensee over a steep and rocky trail and the waterfall up to the next valley to the lake Hüttensee just 25m below the Franz Wödl hut. If that were not enough, you can hike also to the lake "Obersee" and to some very beautiful mountains, such as the Hochwildstelle.  

            

Ursprungalm - lake Giglach    8,5 Km / 484 m        

The hiking to lake Giglach starts at the Ursprungalm at 1600m. The first 2 kilometers of the trail are very steep and strenuous. Very wonderful is then the circular route around the Giglachsee with magnificent mountain scenery.                           

Grimming hut hiking tour         7,5 Km / 341 m              

Scenic and not too strenuous walk from the castle Trautenfels to the Grimming hut. For children, very interesting, as next to the castle Trautenfels they can play on a little playground and some animals can be observed. The road leads directly past to a larger farm.

 

Großer Knallstein - Mountain tour  16,9 Km / 1493 m   

The hike on the mountain tour to the summit of the Großer Knallstein 2.599m is a very stamina-challenging hiking trip on a well marked trail without safety ropes and ladders. In any case, you should have a good fitness, for the entire tour takes about 9-10 hours. Good hiking shoes and a neatly packed bag is absolutely necessary because there is no managed hut on the Mountain tour . The Großer Knallstein Mountain tour is very eventful hike, as it leads from the idyllic mountain village St. Nikolai in Sölktal through the vegetation zones almost to the glaciers zone.

                           

Haindlkar hut - Gesäuse    2,9 Km - 504m       

The hike in Gesäuse to the Haindlkar hut (1.121m) is appropriate, despite the average 17% slope for children from 8-10 years. Interest are the many bizarre rock formation and varied climbing. Above Hikers expected one very nice hut with delicious styrian home cooking on a sunny terrace with wounderful views to the National Park Gesäuse.

    

Hesshütte - Gesäuse         13,8 Km / 925 Hm         

The hut "Hesshütte" is located in the beautiful Upper Styrian National Park Gesäuse on 1.699m. The Hesshütte was built in 1893 at the Ennsecksattel between the Gesäuse mountains Hochtor and Hochzinödl. The best start for families is the simpler path (route No: 601) at the inn "Kölblwirt" in Johnsbach 878m. The walking time up at the Hess house is about 3 hours and down ca. 2 to 2.5 hours.

              

Hintereggeralm hiking tour  1-10 Km / 100-550 m    

On the pasture Hintereggeralm you can hike from Liezen, Weissenbach at Liezen and the Lexgraben in Pyhrn. Here you can also choose between different lengths. From the short or long walk up to a hike of about 1.5 to 2 hours. All forest roads and hiking trails have no special difficulties.

                 

Hochmölbing hut - Raidling    18,2 Km / 1054m     

The slightly longer trip to the hut Hochmölbinghütte and the mountain Raidling (1.915m) is very interesting, and offers many beautiful views. Who would rather distribute the tour in two days has with the Hochmölbinghut and Liezener hut two beautiful cottage accommodation. Specifically recommend is this tour for all flower lovers.

          

Loser Bergtour        5,8 Km / 390 m               

The hike from the mountain restaurant Loser at 1.601m to the peak of Loser on 1.837m is not difficult and suitalbe for children over 10 years. However, you should wear good walking shoes, so you have a good slip resistance. You must also ensure that you remain on the trail, because it is like to see in the photos, off the trails some time vertical downhill. You'll need for this hiking tour about 2,5 to 3 hours for the tour to the Loser summit.

          

Mödlinger hut from Gaishorn      8 Km / 801 m       

A very shady hike tour, as it leads up to the last 500m through the forest. On the way up, you have not many vantage points. But the view above is much better. From bottom to top, this hike takes you to a wide forest road, those unfortunately also cars use of a toll road.

                     

Mödlinger hut from Johnsbach     4,6 Km / 805 m        

The trail of Johnsbach to the Mödlinger hut is often quite steep and rocky. Therefore it is only for sporty, ambitious hikers. The average gradient is 17,5%. Therefore no cars and Mountainbiker disturb hikers on the hiking trail to the Mödlinger hut.

           

Pyhrn Fuchsalm      17 Km / 614 m          

For those who want to make just a little Sunday walk the 1.4 miles to the hut "Fuchsalm" are ideal. The Fuchsalm is managed. But if you want to go further, for the viewpoint at the foot of the mountain Harting is great.  

                                              

Pürgschachener Moor      4,5 Km / 15 m           

The instructive nature path in the nature reserve Pürgschachener Moor at Ardning is only 4.5 km long and has no hills. This destination in Styria is ideal for a leisurely and relaxing walk. On the varied nature trail there is much to discover and the Moorplatform offers a wonderful view. On many panels you can learn a lot about the structure and history of the Pürgschachener Moor.

Ranzenkar - Aigen im Ennstal   18km / 985 m     

Very easy walk to the first 10Km. After normal moderate walk with good views, the finale is a 800m path of a forest road and is now already almost totally overgrown. This travelling - tour is suitable for everyone, no matter how fit you were, you can individually select their own perfect difficulty even by simply goes as long as it makes a fun.

         

Riedleralm Donnersbachwald   9 Km / 241 Hm   

The Walking to Riedleralm and Beireuthalm is not difficult and very suitable as a destination with children. The forest road is excellent. Until Riedleralm the forest road is not steeper than 4%. Average (8%) is the slope from Riedleralm to Beireuthalm.                        

Lake Riesach Schladming        6,9 Km / 336 m        

The starting point of the hike to the beautiful lake Riesachsee is by the Inn Riesachfall in Rohrmoos-Untertal. This is one of the most beautiful and interesting family hiking tours in Styria. The Riesachfall in the Dachstein Tauern region with a slope of 140 altimeter (70m 2 times) is one of the highest waterfalls in Styria. On Riesachsee there with the Upper Gfölleralm and Kaltenbachalm two very good managed huts. Particularly very interesting is the alpine trail hell with a 46m long rope bridge.

                        

Rottenmanner hut        2 Km / 354 m       

The hiking trail to Rottenmanner hut starts at the large parking lot at the end of the MTB Tour Rottenmanner hut at 1.296m. Who wants can let transported his backpack for 5 euros with the cable car to Rottenmanner hut. The trail has a length of about 2 km and an average gradient of 18%. But since no stone steps are in place and the road is almost always at least 1 meter wide. This beautiful walk can be done with children from about 7 years.

     

Viehbergalm hut Gröbming    25 Km / 830 Hm       

A very famous and popular walking tour between Gröbming and Bad Mitterndorf. There are on the hiking tour to Viehbergalm hut some wonderful views. A cultivated pasture with the guarantee of a comfortable rest in a magical setting, such as the mountains Kammspitze and the Dachstein Glacier.

                                    

 Hiking Upper Austria :

Walking Jogging Gosausee   4,3 Km / 25 m         

The trail around the lake "Vorderer Gosausee" is only 4.3 kilometers long and suitable for the whole family and also for the stroller. Without much effort you have a wonderful view of the mountains Dachstein, Dachstein glacier and the Gosaukamm.
