The „Rote Wand Tour“ is a moderate hiking tour in Liezen. From main square in Liezen we hike through the city up to the Mountain Inn Zierer and then to the Red wall. Since the maximum height is 1.308m, you can make the tour very soon in the spring and late autumn. In addition to the starting point at the main square in Liezen are still the inn Zierer and the parking lot at the mountain road towards Hintereggeralm good starting points.

From the main square in Liezen we walk through the old cemetery, and west past the church up to the swimming pool. Immediately after the swimming pool you turn right and follow the narrow road past the pool and reach an old mill. After 400m on the road „Höhenstraße“ starts on the right side a 500m-long hiking path, who leads us directly to the mountain inn Zierer. Even here at the first rest stop after 1.9 km and at 860m you have a wonderful view over the Enns Valley and Liezen.

After the inn Zierer we follow the paved access road and after 400m turn right up. We follow the paved road „Hirschriegelweg“ and the markings on the next forest road. Approx. 1 km before the highest point at 1.308m of the Red Wall tour begins the marked and well-worn hiking trail. Over the forested „Rote Wand“ leads the hike in a southwesterly direction until Liezener Eck. There are some very good vantage points to Liezen. Small children should be extra careful, because in the area above the red wall are some steep places.

At the Liezener Eck we meet Hinteregger tour and hike down (18%) until we reach after 7.7 km the road „Höhenstraße“. Following on the street with little traffic, we go down to Liezen. On local streets and roads in the city ends the „Rote Wand Tour“ after 10.9 km on the main square in Liezen.
