| The hike from the pasture –
Hinteregger Alm to the mountains Nazogl and Kosennspitz offers hikers a lot of
good, memorable, beautiful views. The Hinteregger Alm is a real insider's tip.
On the southeast edge of the Dead Mountains, the Limestone Alps unfolds the whole beauty with green meadows, rare
flowers and plants and fantastic rock formations. The tour is in the region
Hochangern a few miles north of Liezen completely on the sunny side. Therefore
you can make this tour compared with other trips earlier and later in the year.
When the trail is wet, the hiking tour is not recommended, because it is then
often too slippery. The 9 km long journey to Hinteregger Alm is via a small of Liezen. The first 700m we go from the parking lot on a gravel road to the hut – Kink Hütte. Immediately after the hut, we follow the trail Nr. 217 a few yards across a field and then on a mountain path in a small forest. In several small, steep switchbacks, the trail crosses a grassy back in another forest, where the trail turns west again. After another a meadow we follow the well-marked path who leads us uphill in a rockier terrain. After 3.1 km you’ll reach the junction at an altitude of 1,920 m. First we walk to the more frequented mountain Nazogl. 600m further we stand at the summit cross of the 2.057m high mountaon - Nazogl. Since the northern part of the Nazogl is very flat everyone can find a quiet place for a break. Anyone who feels good can hike 1,2 km on the easy trail to next mountain - Angerkogel 2.114m. But we go on the same route back down to the junction and then follow the trail to Kosennspitz. At first the trail is somewhat steep 200m long and after about 500m you will reach a height of 2.022m. After that we hike down to 1.930m. After 5.6 km we enjoy at the 1.962m high Kosennspitz an almost even more beautiful view of the Hochmölbing, Ennsvalley, Grimming, Schladminger Tauern etc. Very impressive are the steep, almost vertical cliffs down into the valley – Weißenbachtal. After a relaxing snack, we walk the same path over the hill back to the junction and down to the pasture - Hinteregger Alm Arriving at the picturesque Hinteregger Alm you can get to the huts – Kink Hütte and Schlagerbaueralm. You can start the tour also in Liezen, or higher over the Red Rock. |
