The walk around the Styrian Lake Bodensee and the Franz Wödl hut begins at the parking lot at the end of the Seewigtal Panorama tolled road. The Seewigtal you reach by Aich / Assach on Gössenberg or Ruperting (between Aich / Assach and Haus im Ennstal) by Petersberg.

If you want to make a short afternoon walk around the Lake Bodensee at an altitude of 1.150 m you achieve them after only 600 m without any significant slope. The road from the parking area to Lake Bodensee is very good and thus paved for wheelchairs and strollers suitable. The wide circular route around the Styrian Lake is about 1.8 kilometers long. There are only about 40 altimeters on the eastern sea to overcome. On the south shore is best seen the most beautiful waterfall in the 500m high valley level between Lake Bodensee and Hüttensee. When you has surrounded the Lake can come to the sunny terrace at the Inn Forellenhof. Who wants to ride like a rowboat on Lake Constance, can borrow at the inn Forellenhof. Especially popular for kids is to feed the fish and the water mill.

Much more challenging is the walking tour from Lake Bodensee to the Franz Wödl hut with about 470 altimeter from the southern end of the Styrian Lake Bodensee. You can reach the Franz Wödl hut at 1.540m hut after 2 km on a steep trail with an average of 18%, which was built next to the waterfall. The managed Franz Wödl hut is situated on the northern bank of the Hüttensee. From the Franz Wödl cabin has an especially good view over Lake Bodensee and the Enns Valley. The Hüttensee is 25m below the Franz Wödl hut. The view of the high mountains at the end of Seewigtal is very impressive. E.g. Hochwildstelle 2.747m, Kleine Wildstelle 2.550m, Umlauter 2.664m, Gruberberg 2.414m.
Climbers reach the Hochwildstelle from Lake Bodensee after about 5 hours.

Even steeper is the 600m long ascent from Hüttensee (1.510m) to the 1.675m height lake Obersee with an average of 27%.

The not very easy trail from Lake Bodensee to the Franz Wödl hut, Hüttensee and Obersee is very rocky and would ideally with sturdy shoes. To protect the ecological balance of the reserve, bathing and fishing is prohibited in Lake Bodensee. The inn Forellenhof is open between Christmas and Easter.
So you have to thaw after a winter walk a particular opportunity in the great Styrian kitchen again.
