This very nice MTB - Tour Grundlsee starts in Bad Mitterndorf at the bakery - see first picture. The MTB - Tour is also signposted as Salza round very well. Nevertheless, you should bring a map or print out this Google Map in detail. The intersection at which you're going straight to Ödernalm and left to Salzaalm and Grundlsee, you should remember well.  I have provided this important crossroads of the Mountain - Tour Bad Mitterndorf - Grundlsee in the Google map with a yellow placemark. The first few kilometers from Bad Mitterndorf are paved and the first climb with about 10% you reach at 8 kilometers. The forest roads are all in very good condition.

Anyone who leaves out Ödernalm reduce the MTB tour around 8 kilometers and 250 meters. The  extra kilometers to the Ödernalm are beautifully landscaped and therefore very recommended.

The toughest climb is up to the pass after the "Salzaalm". This climb is only 2.5 kilometers long. From Grundlsee back to Bad Mitterndorf there are only paved roads. The road along the shore of Grundlsee has no major climbs and the rest of the MTB - Tour of the Radlingpaß and Obersdorf is also easy to handle.

If you are going the MTB - Tour in the opposite direction, there are a 7 kilometer slope of Grundlsee to Bad Mitterndorf with about 500 altimeter

On the forest road up to Grundlsee travelled only a few cars. From Grundlsee on Radlingpaß and Obersdorf you need to expect moderate traffic. By Obersdorf to Bad Mitterndorf you drive on the Salzkammergut cycle Path R19. The bike path is best suited for mountain bikes and road bikes.

Grundlsee is a community in the Styrian Salzkammergut, Liezen, Styria. Grundlsee has about 1300 inhabitants. The approximately 6 kilometers long Grundlsee is a popular lake in the summer with temperatures 20 to 22 degrees and a natural beach of 14 kilometers. In particular, the steep mountain slopes around the Grundlsee with the unique panorama is a great bathing experience. The Grundlsee is with 420ha Styria's largest natural lake and referred as the "Styrian sea". In the fall there is always colorful forests and in winter cavort on Grundlsee skaters and curling.

There is the largest natural ski flying hill in the world. In addition to the existing thermal spa Heilbrunn there is from autumn 2009 with the newly established Grimmingtherme a second spa in Bad Mitterndorf.
