The mountain bike tour Admont / Kaiserau with the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" as a highpoint starts in the city Liezen - Ennstal / Styria, Austria. The Ennsvalley bike path R7 from Liezen to Selzthal is not suitable for road bikes, because it is not paved about 1 kilometer. By contrast, the second section of the mountain bike tour Kaiserau on the bike path R15 from Selzthal to Bärndorf is paved and also very well suited for road bikers. The traffic has been limited since the single track road is only for residents and cyclists. There are a few climbs that are not recommended for children under 10 years.

On a gravel road (3.5 km - 8% durchschnittliche/12% maximum slope), and then later on the country road (2km - 6% average gradient) you're going up to Kaiserau 1106m. After the highest point of the country road Kaiserau you turn right to "Oberst Klinke Hütte". For Castle Kaiserau it is 1.5 kilometers, which are still very shallow. Also at the Castle Kaiserau is the ski lift at the Kaiserau with 4 ski lifts. The "Sportalm" on Kaiserau is beside the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" the second very good possibility at the MTB Tour Kaiserau to take a relaxing break. Since there is no chair lift or gondola, the lift prices are very moderate. In the winter you will find on the Kaiserau a cross-country skiing and a toboggan run. The toboggan run is also on the road from the Kaiserau ski lift up to the "Oberst Klinke Hütte".

This wide gravel road to the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" up is 4 kilometers long with a slope of 7.5%. Since the cars have to pay a toll the traffic to the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" is limited. By "Oberst Klinke Hütte" in good weather you have a good nice view towards Grimming and to the Dachstein Glacier. For many hikers, is the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" the starting point for hikes to Mödlingerhütte, Lahngangkogel, Wagenbänkalm, Sparafeld (2247Hm) and the 2196m high Kalbling, that just stands up behind the "Oberst Klinke Hütte".

By the "Oberst Klinke Hütte" you're going back down to the country road on Kaiserau and then turn right towards Admont. On the paved country road a 7-kilometer long and rapid descent follows to Admont. In Admont you turn left after the railway crossing and before the post office. The Ennsvalley bike path is until before Liezen paved and leads us through Admont Aigen, Frauenberg, Ardning, Puergschachen and Selzthal back to the goal of the MTB Tour Kaiserau Admont in Liezen. Only between Admont and Frauenberg there are a few inclines. Otherwise, this beautiful mountain bike trip ends rather flat and very comfortable.
