The ski resort Breuil - Cervinia - Zermatt is on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is spread over 3 valleys (Matterhorn Valley, Valley of Zermatt and Val d'Ayes) and is one of the largest ski resorts in the Alps. Between Valtournenche 1524m and Zermatt 1610m and the Little Matterhorn  3.883m there are a total of 130 ski runs and  with 350km ski slopes and 57 ski lifts. On the glaciers you can ski in the summer on 26 km ski slopes. 

      
 Zermatt is a world-famous ski resort in Switzerland and is located in the district of Visp in the Swiss canton of Wallis. It is is located at the end of the Matter valley on 1610m. Zermatt offers impressive views of the Matterhorn 4.478m (italian - Monte Cervino). In Zermatt it is not allowed to drive with a car that is driven by an internal combustion engine. From Täsch, which is 6km before Zermatt, leaving every 20 minutes a train to Zermatt. Also with special electric taxis, it is possible to come to Zermatt. Small trucks with electric motors make in Zermatt the transport of the passengers and other  transports. There is also a cog railway from Zermatt (Gornergrat Bahn) to the Gornergrat 3089m.

The village Breuil - Cervinia (2003 m) belongs to the Italian community Valtournenche (1330m - about 2.200 inhabitants), in the autonomous region of Valle d'Aosta. From the mountain Klein Matterhorn there is a magnificent view to the Po Valley in Italy and far into the French and eastern Alps.
